Death Note`s plot basically revolves around a child of High School obsessed with a Mysterious Book called DEATH NOTE. and its a powerful book that it has the ability to kill anyone whose name is written in the book. and the boy named as Light Yagami decided to kill all of the criminal in the world.
PLOT :- basically this story of Kira starts when a high school boy was in his class not focusing on his lecture but outside the class. And suddenly he saw that a book fall from nowhere after the class he go to that place and find that there is a book called DEATH NOTE. he opened the book and saw that there are some rules written on the book. And the book a main point was you can kill anybody whom you want to kill by just writing his/her name in the book. He thought that its just a joke and he was going but he picked it up out of curiosity and taken it to his home. After he reached the home he get in his room and wanted to check if this book is really a death book or not. And he was watching news and in the news there was criminal in the T.V with his name and image who was in the school kidnapping the kids. He tried if this book is real or not so he write that criminal name in death note. And within 40 sec that criminal die with the heart attack . He was so shocked that it really works and after that he decided to kill all of the criminal in the world. He watch the TV and get to write every criminal name which was show on TV.

After that we that there a Shinigami (king of death) whose name was Ryuk. That death note which was fallen from sky that was of this Shinigami who has droped this book and now he was here for his book which was in the hand of Light yagami. Ryuk come to his home and Light gets scared by seeing him because he was a shirigami but he was not surprised of it because he knows that this book has some mystery within it. Ryuk told him that this book is now yours because it is the rule when any of the shirigami drops his death note and if he could not find it before anyone put it up he has to be with person who now owned that book so for now this book will be in the hand of Light yagami until or unless this death note gets distroyed or Light yagami gets killed.
Since Light's rival El Lolliot has already defeated about two-thirds of the way into the show in the episode "Silence", we assume the series will end with Light undefeated. Yet, instead of becoming his warped vision of uncontested justice, the protagonist of "Death Note" is not only exposed in the series finale "New World", but dies alone on a flight of stairs. Light's final moments begin with Near managing to expose her as Kira at the Yellow Box warehouse. And while the confrontation leaves Light wounded by a series of bullets, it is the same Shinigami who provided Light with the Death Note that delivers the final blow.
Ryuk may have been friends with Light since the beginning of the series, but they were never friends. The rise and eventual fall of Prakash was nothing but entertainment for him. But when the show is about to get boring, what else can you do except end it? This is the thought that runs through Ryuk's mind when he signs Light's name in the notebook in the series finale, as he realizes that waiting for Light to rot and die in prison would be as boring as the boredom he felt the first time. I tried to escape. As such, Ryuk feels more like an audience member than Light's companion, and states that the fun is over. It is only fitting that whoever started all this chaos would eventually end it.
